The Future of Business and Technology Conference (FBTC) is ITMSA’s biggest event of the year. Join us for a two day conference featuring conversations with innovative leaders across Canada around the ever-increasing potential of IT students, faculty, and top industry leaders.
The FBTC presents a multitude of keynotes, speaker panels, careers fair, and our award-winning Symcor case competition to encourage the enrichment of education outside the classroom, as well as engage attendees in current trends in the business and technology industries.

Why FBTC?
FBTC provides business and technology students with an opportunity to enhance their understanding of the IT industry by providing them with the knowledge, networking tools, and skills to come up with and implement an effective IT solution to today’s business problems.
The conference will shift its focus and theme every year to showcase new and emerging trends and technologies found within the field of information technology and technology as a whole. The end goal is to educate students and provide insight on issues in today’s society and businesses through the eyes of current industry leaders.
Case Competition
Teams consisting of 3-4 students can choose to participate in FBTC’s award-winning Symcor case competition. The competition is split into 2 streams: Junior (1st and 2nd year students) and Senior (3rd year students and up). The competition will be 2 rounds (preliminary and lightning rounds), all case solutions will be evaluated by industry leaders. Successful teams will present their solution in front of a panel of judges, consisting of industry leaders
Awards Night Gala
The awards gala is a one of a kind experience. Attendees will be able to enjoy their luxurious dinner while viewing the grand finale which includes the announcement of prizes, giveaways, and more. Attendees will also have a chance to network with other individuals as well as industry professionals allowing for an all inclusive experience. This will be the perfect end to an amazing 2 day conference.
