Ryerson Games is just around the corner ! This year ITMSA has partnered with RSBA to bring you folks a day full of tournaments consisting of basketball and dodgeball ! We will also have prizes for the top three teams! So make sure to get your team together and sign up on Eventbrite!

All proceeds from this event will go to MLSE LaunchPad! You can purchase an invidual ticket for 10 dollars or purchase as a group of 5 for 25 dollars!

ITMSA is excited to present our annual Alumni Event! Join us to show our appreciation to all our alumni while giving them a fantastic opportunity to get involved and inspire our current undergrads at the Ted Rogers School of Management!

This is a great opportunity for students to learn more about potential career paths, ask questions, and seek advice. The wonderful evening will consist of a cocktail reception, alumni speeches, networking, and a sit-down dinner.

Our event will take place at Joey's Eaton Center on February 6th, 2019 from 5:00 - 9:00 pm. We hope to see you all there.... this is an event you definitely do NOT want to miss.

Case Competition

Symcor Case Competition (SCC)

  • February 16, 2019 — 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM

The annual Symcor Case Competition will provide students with an opportunity to create teams and apply their in-class learning and professional experience to solve a case (business problem) and provide recommendations to a panel of industry judges from Symcor. This case competition is not only exclusive to senior students but will also be introducing junior students for the first time.

You may sign up in teams of 2-4 or as an individual, however, there is no guarantee that you will be placed on a team. If applying with a group, please ensure that all members fill out an application as well. The case competition will be held on Saturday, February 16th 2019. Good luck!

BTM Industry Panel

The IT Management Students Association (ITMSA) in collaboration with the Career Ready BTM Talent Mash, Woment in IT Management (WITM), ITAC, and the Ted Rogers School of Management are thrilled to introduce our first Industry Panel revolving around the theme of technology and entrepreneurship.

Come join us on Thursday, November 22 from 5:30PM – 9:00PM at the Ted Rogers School of Management's Cara Commons to speak with panellist and exhibitors from industrly leading organizations and featuring a special keynote speaker Paul Crowe, CEO of “Symbility Intersect”.

From strong management skills, team building abilities to leadership skills these exhibitors and panelists have got it all and are willing to equip students with the tools to succeed. The Industry Panel offers a great opportunity for students to open up and introduce them selves to peers, staff, faculty and professionals. Oh, did we mention… there will be a career fair with companies looking for talented individuals who thrive to succeed. This is an event you do not want to be missing out on!

To kick off the 2018-2019 school year, the ITMSA would like to present our first event “Welcome BTM”! Come out to “Welcome BTM” to connect with other first year students, ask BTM related questions, and learn about the different resources accessible within TRSM to help enhance your academic and professional experience at Ryerson University. All of this while enjoying some free food!

The Ted Rogers IT Summit (TRITS) will be a collaboration with all of the course unions within the Ted Rogers School of Management. Symcor Case Competition (SCC)

The annual Symcor IT Case Competition sponsored by Symcor is back in collaboration with MEMS - McMaster Engineering and Management Society, Information Technology Student Association - York University & MTA - Management Technology Association.

This event is for ALL upper year students (3rd, 4th, and 5th).

The case competition will allows students to showcase their interpersonal skills as well as industry knowledge in front of professors and industry professional.

Are you stressed about finals?

If your answer was a yes, be sure to attend the ITMSA's Exam De-Stressor event taking place on November 27th between 12-4pm at the CPA Lounge (TRS 1-003).

This drop-in event will have various board games and video game stations set up with tournaments. FREE snacks and refreshments will be provided to munch on. This is a great opportunity to gather with your friends and peers to unwind and de-stress during a busy study period. We are also partnering with the Good Food Centre to donate non-perishable food items and monetary donations at the event.

BTM TalentMash Ontario 2017

The annual BTM TalentMash Ontario is coming up this year on November 4th, 2017! This event is designed to connect employers with hundreds of Business Technology Management (BTM) students and recent graduates, create awareness about the BTM program, and provide a forum for students to network and gain professional insight about employer expectations.

Last year’s Ontario event in Toronto brought together 22 speakers, 21 exhibitors, and over 400 hundred students and recent graduates from 7 universities with Business Technology Management (BTM) programs.
